This section relates to how we all relate to the outside world. Once our *within* connection has been established we need to make sure that what we do in the world and the connections we make actually correspond with our inner truth.

Amber Bow Totem Wheel is a way of perceiving, or is an integration of knowledge enhancing a system rooted in the Native American Cultures exploring areas of our perception that are aligned to in order to gain insights to the deeper levels of our own awareness, wisdom and personal power

Our *Outer* connectivities are as important as our *Within* - although our *Within* is a very sacred thread and connection to the pure spirit we need to come into the world and act in it in order to carry out *Manifestation*

Exploring the outer way of relating we can break this sphere into 9 segments, a little like pieces of an orange. We have our East, West, North & South which traditionally make up the Totem Wheel or Medicine Wheel. These have very specific meanings rooted in wisdom. In modern times our attention is so scattered and over-intelectualised that we come away from our base wisdom and get involved in very unhealthy systems of thought and action. The Totem Wheel acts a compass for our integration into the many layers of awareness/ energy that exist in the network of the world, especially the network made up by human interaction. Although descriptions and interpretations will vary slightly the meanings are below:

South is the way in, like a door - it interfaces our own personal power with the mass of power that exists outside of us, in others. We relate to our child-self in the south and our growth.

East is where the Sun comes up in the morning. There are 3 key words I say to myself to focus on this direction; knowledge, awareness & illumination.

West is where the Sun goes down in the evening. There are 3 key words I say to myself to remember this direction; mood, feeling & intent.

North is the completing of our circle. We have the knowledge in one hand and the spirit of the moment in the other hand. There are 3 key points I observe as I witness myself throughout my life;  my acts >> behavior >> will. (This is also known as the direction of conduct and therefore our Dharma or Adharma)

There are a further 5 points making up the 9 segments of our overall perception. 1 is the *within* but the other 4 consist of Lower, Upper, Left & Right. My description of these would be:

Lower is our grounding and humbleness, our ability to sit with the Mother Earth and connect. Attention on our root connection to the earth is almost unheard of in today's self-important world of glossy personas that we adopt and a strange society built on pleasing and acting out the false personas, and co-creating a society built on alcoholism and popularity. Humbleness is perhaps the only way to shed these false layers that we learn to adopt and dress ourselves in as we grow older.

Upper is our connection to the sky, the stars and represents our branches reaching out into Infinity. When we have the correct connection through our central channel we become in harmony with the planets and cycles that dictate changes to human life.

Left is our connection to our earthly mother and the female teachers we may have had in our life that have been of valid influence. It also relates to males who have shared their dreaming-awareness with us. It is where we connect our own moon, our inner dream that swirls like a subtle whirlwind within us. Our dreams act actually and there is a great value in being open to the intuitive plane that speaks to us from a completely seperate world from the world created by *reason*

Right is our connection to our earthly father and the male teachers we may have had in our life that have taught us skills and bits of knowledge. It also relates to any females who have taught us hunting, stalking or how to interact in the daily world. Traditionally this is the area of hunting, how we hunt our world, but in modern times this relates to our work/ emplyment, our study, the weapons we make to hook things from the world and make them of some use to our life walk. As cultures developed and *reason* became such a big dictator of our world, science and all reason-based law exists within this area.
